About the business and the role

We are a busy privately-owned general practice in Blackburn with 20 GPs, numerous allied health onsite and visiting specialist doctors. We seek both a Part Time (15-30 hours per week) and a Casual medical receptionist to join our friendly team of 16 reception staff.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-respected, innovative medical centre that prides itself on delivering the highest standard of patient-centred care. Our reception team is the face of our business so excellent customer service, phone manner, a passion for excellence and interpersonal skills are a must. Our clinic is an association of independent GPs who consult from two suites within our building. We are an accredited training practice (we train qualified Doctors to become excellent GPs) with a strong culture of continuous quality improvement for all areas of our practice.

The role includes greeting patients, answering phone calls and scheduling appointments; processing billings and payments; general administrative duties such as faxing, filing, scanning and emailing; handling confidential correspondence; answering patient enquiries.
